Teacher Grants Guidelines

Robert F. Zeni Teacher Grant Guidelines

1. Grant applications may only be submitted by Piner High School faculty.



2. The Foundation’s focus is to place supplemental materials in the classroom, benefiting as many students as possible. Sharing materials and equipment with other teachers is highly encouraged.. 



3. Funded items shall be sustainable / reusable including but not limited to books, DVD’s, beakers, tools, etc. 



4. Non-funded items are:

 

§     Unsustainable items such as pens, pencils, and paper;  

 

§     Items typically financed by school and/or district budgets; and

 

§     Teacher workshops, conferences and/or class fieldtrips.  



5. The Foundation may request additional information and/or clarification regarding certain grant requests. 



6. Only the most economical form of shipping shall be funded. 



7. Approved grants may be ordered and purchased by the applicant with a request for reimbursement by the Foundation. The request, including the receipt shall be placed in the Foundation’s in-basket at the school’s front counter.



8. If preferred, the Foundation can place the order and make the purchase, with delivery made directly to the school. 



9. Piner High School administration and/or business office personnel should not be tasked with the ordering and purchasing process. Thank you.
